Inspiration: The Railway 200 Exhibition Train Terms and Conditions
Definition
In these Terms & Conditions, the “Organiser”, “Us”, “Our”, or “We” means Railway 200, Network Rail and/or main line station, heritage site, rail depo and “Event” shall mean the Exhibition Train. “Venue” shall mean a main line station, heritage site, rail depo as stated on the ticket. “Visitors” shall mean all ticketholder.
Online Registration
By registering your place you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of attending the Event. Pre-registered Visitors with a valid free ticket will be granted access to the Event. Advance booking is required. It is a condition of Visitors admission to the Event that no commercial or private use may be made of the Event or any part of it. Tickets cannot be copied under any circumstances.
Onsite Registration
Visitors can register onsite, and attendance is free. However, entry will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to capacity limits during each time slot. Visitors with ticket will have priority.
Admission
Tickets for the Event are free of charge. Admission is open to the general public, professionals, families, schools, community groups. Entry to the Event is only permitted with a valid ticket for the specified date and time slot. Each ticket admits one person only. Re-entry to the Event is not permitted. Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be sold for commercial gain or exchanged for cash. If We have reason to believe that tickets have been sold, they will be invalidated, and the holder will be refused admission. The Organiser reserves the right to alter or vary the timing of any part of the Event in circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Every effort will be made to admit latecomers during a suitable low-traffic time slot, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
Arrival at the Platform
Visitors must arrive at the Venue 10 minutes before their scheduled time to ensure smooth entry and avoid overcrowding at the platform. There will be no admission to the Event before the designated time slot and date indicated on your ticket. We are unable to guarantee entry before or after your time slot. Please check Event details, timings and car park charges prior to travelling as these may be subject to change.
Please check your route prior to travelling to ensure you arrive on time. The Organiser is not responsible for any delays due to travel disruptions. Parking and public transport information will be included in the ticket confirmation.
Accessibility
The Event site aims to be accessible to all. Please contact railway200@gbrtt.co.uk for specific accessibility requirements. The train is not designed for mobility scooters.
Animals
With the exception of guide dogs or other service animals, no pets or animals of any description will be allowed into the Event.
Food and Drink
For the safety and comfort of all visitors, food is not permitted on the train. Only water is allowed. Exceptions may be made for medical or accessibility reasons.
Age limits
The Event is open to all ages. However, a “Minor” shall be defined as any individual who is under eighteen (18) years of age or has not reached the age of majority as defined by such individual’s jurisdiction of residence. A minor must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
Safety
The safety and security of our staff, visitors and volunteers is our priority. Anyone attending the Event is required to comply with the safety and security provisions. In case of emergency please follow instructions and directions from staff, volunteers and/or other officials.
Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited in all areas of the Event and Platform. No food, soft drink or alcohol may be brought into the Event, except for water.
Anyone attending the Event must not take part in any canvassing, leafleting, demonstrations, objectionable behaviour or wear offensive apparel or be involved in any activity which may disrupt the Event.
The Event Staff reserve the right to exclude or remove anyone from the Event who does not comply with this policy or who they reasonably consider is likely to break these rules or who is prohibited from attending under any applicable sanctions, laws or regulations, or otherwise at the event staff discretion.
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission, conduct security searches as they deem appropriate or to eject any person appearing to be intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, behaving dangerously or inappropriately, or for any other behaviour likely to cause damage, injury, nuisance and annoyance or for failure to comply with the reasonable request of the Organiser and Event Staff.
Baggage
To optimise passenger capacity and ensure the safety and comfort of all Visitors, each individual is permitted one handbag or shoulder bag with maximum dimensions of 30- 35 cm (12-14 inches) in width and 20-25 cm (8-10 inches) in height. For reference, this is smaller than standard airline cabin baggage.
Larger bags, suitcases, and other bulky items (such as large backpacks, musical instruments, and sporting equipment) will not be allowed. Storage is not available. Baggage must not contain any items which are or can potentially be dangerous, illegal, likely to harm or annoy other Visitors, or that are banned by any proper authority. All bags are subject to security inspection.
Prams are permitted, subject to available space. We recommend folding prams when possible to maximise available space. To ensure sufficient space for prams, we request Visitors to inform us in advance. Please contact railway200@gbrtt.co.uk to make arrangements.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by Visitors: Please send cancellation details via Merlinsoft ticketing platform or by email at railway200@gbrtt.co.uk. We request that Visitors inform us of cancellations as soon as possible so we can reallocate the place to a person on the waiting list. The Event is expected to be over-subscribed and your place can often be filled by another visitor.
Cancellation by Organiser: We reserves the right to cancel the Event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to low registration numbers, safety concerns, or situations beyond our control. In the event of cancellation, registered attendees will be notified via email as soon as possible. We reserve the right to make changes to the Event, including the date, time, and location, at any time without prior notice. We will endeavour to reschedule the Event if possible.
In case of a cancellation or postponement the Organiser shall not be responsible or liable for any costs, damages, fees, expenses or other compensation associated with the Event.
If the Event is rescheduled, changed, moved or cancelled the Organiser cannot be held responsible for any resulting costs you may incur for travel, accommodation and other related goods, services or compensation.
Photography and Filming
Photography and filming for personal use are permitted during the Event. Visitors may be filmed, photographed or sound recorded for broadcast, publication or security purposes whilst at the Event by the Organiser and our trusted sponsors and partners.
Commercial photography and filming are prohibited without the Organiser’s prior written consent. Please email railway200@gbrtt.co.uk at least 48 hours before your visit to request approval.
Press
Press badges at the Event are restricted to publishers, editors, journalists, photographers, broadcasters and web bloggers associated with the industry. Members of the press may be required to complete an application form and produce accreditation in the form of a photocopy of a recognised press or media card, business card, NUJ card, a letter from the editor or an official web address linking to a press release in order to verify their position. Press applications from advertising personnel and media sales representatives will not be accepted. Due to the Event’s limited capacity, press members are required to book a visitor ticket via our website and then email the Organisers at railway200@gbrtt.co.uk with their accreditation details.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, We exclude liability for loss, damage, death or injury arising from any breach by Visitors of these terms and conditions; any failure by Visitors to adhere to the directions or instructions of staff within the Event and platform; and/or any new medical condition (whether physical or psychiatric) caused, or any pre- existing medical condition (whether physical or psychiatric) which is aggravated, by Visitors visit to the Exhibition Train.
The Organiser does not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property brought to the Event.
The Organiser will not be responsible for the actions of any third party, including, but not limited to, the exhibitors in the partner zone.
The relevant laws of England, Wales and Scotland will apply to these Terms and Conditions and the relevant courts of the England, Wales and Scotland will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to the Terms and Conditions.
